Bodhi’s House began with my soul dog, Bodhi.

He came into my life as a puppy with a sensitive stomach and a firey spirit, and he would eventually change the entire course of my life.

Bodhi means enlightenment in Sanskrit. When we named him, I loved the meaning, but I didn’t yet understand its deeper roots or its connection to Ayurveda. I certainly didn’t know how profoundly he would shape the course of my life.

Bodhi came to us at eight weeks old already struggling with digestive trouble. At the time, my only lens for health was Western medicine. From puppyhood on, he was given countless rounds of antibiotics, prescription foods, and medications. His digestion never truly settled. We followed every protocol we were given, but his body always seemed to be struggling quietly in the background.

Years passed like this.

Just before his sixth birthday, bloodwork revealed abnormal white and red blood cell counts. The initial fear was cancer. What followed was a long, exhausting journey through specialists, scans, tests, appointments, and medications. Cancer was never found. Eventually the conversation shifted to autoimmune disease, but that too was never clearly identified or resolved.

Several months into this ordeal, Bodhi suffered a neurological event. He became dizzy and struggled to walk. I was told his body was likely forming clots, and that while a clot to the brain was frightening, a clot to his lungs or digestive tract would likely be fatal. If my husband and I wanted any say in how he left this world, we would need to make that decision soon.

So we chose to let him go at home.

With love.
With ceremony.
With gentleness.

Not on a cold metal table, but surrounded by familiarity, safety, and devotion.

Losing Bodhi was one of the most devastating experiences of my life.

At the same time Bodhi was sick, I was quietly unraveling too. After years of fatigue, digestive issues, and feeling “off,” I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s autoimmune disease. While Bodhi was alive, all my energy went to caring for him. After he passed, grief sat heavy in my body, but I knew I could no longer ignore my own health.

And deep in my bones, I knew I did not want to walk the same path we had walked with Bodhi.

That’s when I found Ayurveda.

At the time, I barely knew what it was. I only felt the pull. I enrolled in an Ayurvedic health coach program and began learning how to truly listen to my body. Not to silence symptoms, but to understand them. To work gently, preventatively, and holistically. To support digestion, the nervous system, immunity, and energy from the inside out.

Slowly, my health began to change. My relationship with my body softened. I felt empowered rather than managed.

Along the way, I became deeply fascinated by the intelligence of plants and went on to complete formal training in herbalism alongside my Ayurvedic studies. What began as healing for myself slowly grew into a calling to serve others.

Bodhi’s House is where all of this comes together.

It is a space rooted in the belief that while Western medicine has its place, we have lost something essential in our culture: the wisdom of holistic, preventative care. The understanding that healing is not a quick fix or a bandage, but a relationship with the body over time.

My mission is to help people reclaim that relationship. To give them their power back. To teach them how to support their own healing with awareness, ritual, herbs, food, and compassion.

Bodhi was my teacher long before I understood the lesson.

This house, this offering, is built in his honor.

The work I offer today grew directly from that journey.

My Approach

At Bodhi’s House, I work with individuals who feel disconnected from their bodies, exhausted by ongoing symptoms, or frustrated by surface-level solutions.

My work blends Ayurvedic health coaching, herbalism, and practical lifestyle guidance to help you understand your unique constitution (Dosha), restore digestion and nervous system balance, and address root causes rather than simply managing symptoms.

This process is gentle, personalized, and deeply collaborative. I don’t “fix” people. I help them learn how to support their own healing.

The body is intelligent. When we slow down enough to listen, it often tells us exactly what it needs.

Meet Frances

I’m Frances Kelley, an Ayurvedic health coach and herbalist based in Colorado.

My work centers on helping people reconnect with their bodies through gentle, preventative, and holistic care. I specialize in digestion, nervous system balance, immune health, and chronic patterns that don’t respond well to one-size-fits-all solutions.

I work collaboratively and intuitively, drawing from Ayurveda, herbalism, and lived experience. I believe the body is intelligent, symptoms are meaningful, and healing happens best when we slow down enough to listen.

Outside of my work, I live this philosophy in my own life.

You’ll find me hiking or snowboarding in the mountains, cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, reading late into the night, journaling, meditating, and following the moon cycles. I love ritual, creativity, dancing, and fresh air.

And I’m a devoted dog mom to my Doberman, Dior.

Bodhi’s House is both my practice and my offering — a place where modern life meets ancient wisdom, and where healing is approached with curiosity, care, and respect for the whole person.

Words from Clients

“★★★★★ I am deeply grateful to Frances for the wellness she helped me rediscover. As a middle-aged woman under high stress with a host of hormonal imbalances causing sleep, cognitive, and digestive disturbance, I realized I had slowly unwound into a complete a mess. I felt utterly at a loss using traditional western medical tools which felt like weak bandaids. I knew there had to be more and Frances proved to hold the key. I was so impressed by how thoroughly she inquired to truly understand my individual circumstances, which she used to guide me through a progressive series of small, effective, sustainable shifts. Between simple behavioral, ritualistic changes and the use of her hand crafted tinctures I feel a return to my more-balanced, familiar self. Thank you, Frances!” ~ Louise, 45, Glenwood Springs, CO

“★★★★★ I’m excited to recommend Bodhi’s House to anyone looking to make meaningful changes in their health and lifestyle. Frances is knowledgeable, professional, and deeply kind. She takes a holistic approach—focusing on body, mind, and spirit—and truly listens.

Our sessions are engaging and thoughtful. She asks not only about diet and exercise, but also about how I’m feeling emotionally, which was a pleasant surprise. After each session, she follows up with clear, detailed notes and recommendations, explaining the reasoning behind every suggestion.

I’ve experienced improvements in both my physical health and overall well-being. Frances meets you where you are, with no judgment—just guidance, understanding, and a plan that feels achievable. I’m so grateful for the experience.” ~Ann, 74, Arvada, CO
